Our Firm History
Monson & Bass - Lynnwood, Washington
In 1993 Bob Monson and Steve Bass founded our firm, with just the two shareholders and two employees. The focus of our firm was to always provide quality professional accounting services, on a timely basis, at a fair price. Today, that same philosophy remains, and has resulted in the growth of the firm to where we are now with nine focused and experienced professionals and two highly skilled administrative staff.
Our firm concentrates on serving small to mid-size organizations. And as a result of that focus, we have developed a high level of expertise assisting our SMB clients with their unique tax and accounting needs. Our main focus is on providing quality services to manufacturers, contractors, not-for-profit organizations and to our clients sponsoring ERISA employee benefit plans. Our not-for-profit client base includes:
- Assisted living, continuing care retirement communities, and nursing homes
- Performing arts organizations
- Voluntary health and welfare organizations
- Private colleges and schools
- Religious organizations including churches and synagogues, and their related affiliates
Additionally, we take great pleasure in working with our large number of individuals and corporations, carefully helping them with their tax planning and tax return preparation needs in order to assist them in retaining more of their earnings, and ultimately increase their personal net worth.
Our staff is committed to staying on top of our client's current industry trends as well as new tax and audit regulations, devoting many hours each month to ongoing certified professional education. They have a broad range of experience in the services that they regularly provide, including tax planning and compliance, accounting and auditing, and consulting. The firm also performs many peer reviews for other CPA’s in compliance with professional standards.
Our firm is still located in Lynnwood, Washington,where it was founded. However, our client base has grown throughout the Puget Sound Region.
